Connect one DisplayPort source to an HDMI display and a DisplayPort display with the MOSHOU DP to HDMI + DP MST Splitter. It supports mirror and extended-desktop workflows on compatible systems, with single-display output up to 8K at 30Hz or 4K at 120Hz.

Key features

  • One full-size DisplayPort source input
  • One HDMI display output plus one DisplayPort display output
  • MST support for mirror or extended desktop modes on compatible Windows systems
  • Single-display output up to 8K 30Hz or 4K 120Hz
  • Dual-display simultaneous output up to 4K 60Hz per supplied specifications
  • USB-C auxiliary power input for stable operation
  • Compact frosted aluminum-alloy housing with gold-plated display connectors

Connection direction

DisplayPort source → HDMI display + DisplayPort display. This adapter is directional. It cannot accept an HDMI source, and it cannot convert HDMI to DisplayPort.

Display modes and operating-system notes

  • Windows: compatible DisplayPort MST systems can use mirror mode or extend content across external displays.
  • macOS: macOS does not support independent multi-stream MST desktops through this type of adapter. When two displays are connected, they generally mirror the same external image rather than operating as two independent extended displays.
  • The source DisplayPort must support MST for dual-display extended mode.

Resolution guidance

  • Single display: up to 8K 30Hz or 4K 120Hz
  • Two displays simultaneously: up to 4K 60Hz

Available resolution and refresh rate depend on the computer or graphics card, DisplayPort version, operating system, connected displays, cables, DSC/MST support and display settings. Both outputs share the source link bandwidth.

How to connect

  1. Connect the computer or graphics card DisplayPort output to the port marked DP Source.
  2. Connect an HDMI cable from HDMI Display to the first monitor, TV or projector.
  3. Connect a DisplayPort cable from DP Display to the second monitor.
  4. Connect a suitable USB-C power cable to the DC 5V port.
  5. Configure mirror or extended display mode in the operating system.

FAQ

Can I use an HDMI computer output as the source?
No. The input must be DisplayPort.

Can both outputs work at the same time?
Yes, on a compatible DP MST source. Dual-display resolution is limited by the shared link bandwidth.

Can a Mac extend to two different external desktops?
No. macOS typically mirrors the same external image on both displays through MST.

Why can I not select 8K or 4K120?
The source GPU, ports, display, cables and settings must all support the requested mode. The highest modes apply to single-display use.
