Before buying: compare both ports on your devices with the connector photos. Mini DisplayPort has the same physical connector as Thunderbolt 1/2, but video output and supported resolution depend on the device. This cable does not convert HDMI, USB-C or Thunderbolt 3/4.
Resolution & Refresh Rate Notes
Maximum resolution, refresh rate, HDR, color depth and variable refresh depend on the graphics card or source, both ports, the display, operating system settings and cable length. 8K60 generally requires Display Stream Compression (DSC) support across the complete connection. Longer lengths may support lower maximum modes depending on equipment and signal conditions.
